American Red Cross BLS/CPR Certification
Community College of Philadelphia is a proud provider of American Red Cross BLS Training. The American Red Cross standards for Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is recommended for all licensed, certified health care practitioners, and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in adult, child, and infant patients. This class teaches participants how to perform high-quality CPR individually and as part of a team, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) techniques. Using lecture, skills demonstration, practice and case-based emergency response scenarios, this program builds the key skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support certificate.
