Presidential Search Progress Report #2
On behalf of the Community College of Philadelphia Board of Trustees, I am pleased to provide an update on the search to identify the next President of Community College of Philadelphia. The College is on track with the search according to the timeline. The deadline for submission of applications was September 2, 2025. According to our search firm, The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), the search attracted a diverse candidate pool from throughout the state, region and nation.
The next step is for the Presidential Search Committee to meet several times in September to review confidential applications, identify and interview semifinalists and forward the names of the finalists to the Board of Trustees.
Bios and pictures of finalists will be shared with the College community in preparation for visits to the Main Campus. Finalists will interview with the Board of Trustees and will participate in forums at the College between October 9th and 14th. The specific dates, times, and locations will be shared once they are confirmed. Participants in the forums will complete feedback forms, which will be reviewed as part of the deliberation process.
As part of our effort to ensure that the search process is inclusive and transparent, the College has a Presidential Search website that includes key information about the search, including the list of the members of the Presidential Search Committee, timeline, and Presidential Profile. The website is updated as new information becomes available.
I will continue to keep you updated on this important process. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to our ACCT search consultants: Marie Gnage, Ph.D., at gnagedm [at] gmail.com or (304) 615-1928 (mobile) and Luke Robins, Ph.D., at lrobins57 [at] gmail.com or (501) 276-0996 (mobile).

Harold T. Epps
Chair, Board of Trustees
