A Solid Foundation in Health Care

Interested in pursuing a career in health care, but not sure where to start? The Health Care Studies Program is designed for students who are interested in entering the health care profession, giving them the foundation courses necessary to apply to nursing or other select health care programs at the College, transfer to a bachelor's program, or complete an A.A. degree in Health Care Studies. Besides learning key concepts of human biology, students will also learn how to communicate effectively with others and develop quantitative reasoning skills.

Scientific Reasoning
  • This program is designed to provide students with the option of entering the workforce or transferring to a bachelor's degree program after earning their associate degree

General Education Requirements:

All general education requirements necessary for graduation are met through the courses in the program as indicated above. Students who wish to take courses that differ from the general education courses indicated above must complete a course substitution request form. To access the form, login to the MyCCP portal, and in the Student tab, under Electronic Forms, click on the Records and Registration Forms link, then choose Request For Course Substitution Of Graduation Requirement link.
