How to Apply to the Medical Assistant Program

Due to the competitive nature of the Allied Health programs, there are special admission requirements applicants must satisfy to be considered for the Medical Assistant proficiency certificate program. 

To submit an application for the Medical Assistant program, you must meet the following requirements: 

  1. You must have a high school diploma or General Education Equivalency Degree (GED)
  2. You must have satisfied all prerequisite coursework, and must also meet the minimum grade point average of 2.0
  3. Demonstration of readiness for ENGL 101 and FNMT 118 as determined by the College's placement tests
    or by successfully completing developmental coursework.

Please note that meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
