Octavius Catto Scholarship – Supporting First Time Philadelphia Students
Join us for a Zoom presentation with Q&A on the Octavius Catto Scholarship. Octavius Valentine Catto was an American educator, intellectual, and civil rights activist in Philadelphia. Mayor Jim Kenney proposed an important new anti-poverty initiative designed to put more Philadelphians on the path to success at Community College of Philadelphia. The program, named the Octavius Catto Scholarship, aims to make the transformative power of education available to students by providing funding and additional supports. Acompáñanos a conocer la Beca Octavius Catto en una presentación virtual a través de Zoom. Octavius Valentine Catto fue un educador, intelectual y activista de derechos civiles de Filadelfia. En honor a éste gran lider, el alcalde de la Ciudad, Jim Kenney propuso y aprobó una nueva e importante iniciativa diseñada para ayudar a residentes de Filadelfia a combatir la pobreza mediante la educación, tomando el camino hacia el éxito en el Community College of Philadelphia. El nuevo programa, denominado Beca Octavius Catto, tiene como objetivo hacer que el poder transformador de la educación esté disponible para los estudiantes al proporcionar fondos y apoyos adicionales. Join us for a Zoom event designed for students who are interested in transferring to Community College of Philadelphia from another college or university. We’ll also talk about our Dual Admissions transfer agreements with area colleges and universities when you’re ready to leave CCP to attend a four-year college. Virtual Ask Admissions and Financial Aid Sessions
Join us for Ask Admissions and Financial Aid, a Zoom event designed for new students who have applied to a degree or certificate program and who have not enrolled in the College yet. Join us on Zoom for answers to your questions about how to get started, your next steps, financial aid, programs, services, and how to enroll. You will be able to speak briefly with an Admission Representative or Financial Aid Representative when you join the session.
You must register to participate; the evening prior to the event you will receive the login information. Make sure you have downloaded Zoom and have your audio working properly when you join the session. You will be in a waiting room before being connected to a breakout room for an individual session. Please be patient as there could be some wait time depending on volume. You can join or leave the session at any time within the posted time on your computer, tablet, laptop, or phone. A Spanish-speaking representative will be available.

New Student Registration Tutorial
This event is only for students who have never attended college before, have satisfied placement, have been accepted and received their educational plan from Advising and are ready to register. Hosted by college staff, they will share an instructional video to help you register yourself for your first set of classes at the college once you receive your educational plan. Before you attend this event you will need to complete the New Student Advising Intake form. After you submit this form, an email will be sent to your MyCCP email account with your educational plan listing the courses you should register for based on your placement. Depending on volume it may take more than a week to receive this follow up.

Tours will not be available until the College fully re-opens.
Main Campus Tours
Information tours are available at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on most Tuesdays at the Main Campus Welcome Center. Please check the current schedule and reserve your space. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are appreciated so we can notify you of any schedule changes. Your visit will include an information session with an admission representative and a general campus tour.
