The Cohen Gallery is located in the Mint Building, 2nd floor, outside Room M2-19. There will be a reception on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibit will be up through Nov. 19.
The Theater Department presents the adaptation, Lysistrata Cross Your Legs Sister!, set in 1967 - The Summer of Love. Associate professor of English Ardencie Hall-Karambe developed the script and the musical score for this rollicking story of women who take over the banking system and hold a sex strike to get men to end the war. The show will be held in the Bonnell Large Auditorium (BG-10).
The Tavis Smiley Foundation will bring its Ending Poverty: America's Silent Spaces town hall panel discussion to the College, on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. in the Bonnell Auditorium. Tavis Smiley, host of the late-night PBS Tavis Smiley Show, will moderate a panel that includes the College's president Donald Guy Generals. The event is free and open to the public. Interested students and faculty are encouraged to attend. Registration is required.
