This foundational Health Assessment course introduces the fundamental principles and skills required for conducting effective health histories and physical exams. The course will provide an overview of the clinical judgement process and its role in assessment, the use of therapeutic communication techniques for conducting thorough health history interviews, strategies for using a systematic approach to physical exam, assessment of vital signs and basic diagnostic tests, and the utilization of assessment findings to develop personalized care plans that address cultural needs and spiritual needs and provide patient-centered care.
