I am getting married to my best friend on June 19th of this year, so I will take a brief hiatus from school. After hubby and I are settled, I plan on publishing a Children's book that I have created in my Sociology class this Spring semester. Professor Nicole Vadino gave me the platform to do something I've always wanted to do, and that is to be an author.

Although the book was part of an assignment, Professor Vadino along with my family and friends enjoyed it, and their feedback has given me the confidence and push I needed! After the book is complete, I will return to CCP to complete additional classes that will transfer towards my Social Work Degree at WCU. I plan on conquering accomplishing all my goals in life that I've made for myself. This degree is just a piece of the puzzle of my journey.

What’s your favorite CCP memory? :
Throughout my time at CCP, I've had numerous positive memories that I know I will cherish forever. One of my favorite memories has been meeting great fellow students as well as the academic and administrative staff. I've gained so many new friends who have supported and encouraged me throughout my time at CCP. The best feeling is to have positive influences around you that can contribute and support your goals and successes. Not only have students done that for me at CCP but the staff at CCP contributed greatly as well.

The K.E.Y.S program was a big help with my transition back to school, and I owe a lot of thanks to Ms. Gardella Cardwell who worked with me diligently throughout my time in the K.E.YS program and at CPP. Even when I was out of the K.E.Y.S program, Ms. Cardwell supported and invested herself with my work, and that means the world to me! She was a mentor to me, and one of the kindest people I've ever met! I have great memories with her and the other K.E.Y.S staff members. Without those memories, my time at CCP would not have been as memorable!
