A. Michael Hearn Endowed Scholarship
Mr. Hearn was a longtime College employee who began his career as a systems programmer and went on to become a database administrator and part-time instructor. His love of teaching led him to change careers and become a full-time faculty member in the Computer Technologies department. His family created the A. Michael Hearn Endowed Scholarship after his death in 2011 to honor his memory.

Thomas R. Scott Mathematics Award
This scholarship for study toward the baccalaureate is presented to a graduating student who has demonstrated outstanding competence in mathematics (including calculus) and high personal and academic standards. The Scholarship, endowed by his family, honors the memory of Thomas R. Scott, an associate professor of Mathematics, on faculty from 1965 until his death in 1981.

This scholarship commemorates long-time Mathematics department member James P. Diskin, whose passions were mathematics, baseball, and the success of his students. Awarded to a highly-qualified graduating math or math-related major, it is intended to defray costs at the student’s transfer institution during the first year of study leading to a math or math-related degree.
