Anatomy of Emergency and Fire Scene Investigation

This interactive session will acquaint participants with theories of fire investigation consistent with National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) protocols, introduce the methodology of fire investigation, and discus such topics as motives of arsonists, fuels, incendiary fires and explosions. The complexities of managing a response to an emergency scene such as a fire, explosion or multi-casualty incident will also be explored. Come hear from experienced professionals about the various methods of emergency scene analysis and the systematic approach to deciding on the appropriate course of action for first responders.
