Join the Drop the Mic audience for a powerful and memorable performance by Denice Frohman. A former Women of the World Slam Champion, Denice's work has been published in Nepantla: An Anthology for Queer Poets of Color, Women of Resistance: Poems for a New Feminism, and she has featured on hundreds of stages from The White House to The Apollo. She also co-organizes #PoetsforPuertoRico. Originally, from New York City, Denice has received fellowships and awards from CantoMundo, the Leeway Foundation, the National Association of Latino Arts & Cultures and the Blue Mountain Center, and she is a Tin House Workshop alum. Using humor, hip hop and personal storytelling, Denice explores the intersections between culture, gender, sexuality and identity.
