The American Heart Association standards for Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is recommended for all licensed, certified health care practitioners, and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. This class teaches participants how to perform high-quality CPR individually and as part of a team, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) techniques. Basic Life Support (BLS) students learn rescue techniques for adults, children, and infants.
