Ensuring Patient Satisfaction and Health Care Quality
Our Patient Services Representative program will teach you about health care legislation and funding, advances in technology, and multiple billing procedures that prepare you to complete tasks and provide a positive patient experience. You will learn to supervise patient intake procedures; collect and verify patient information; coordinate phone calls, clinic operations and patient scheduling; and understand insurance information and health care benefits for billing. Within the College’s program, you may earn an Associate in Applied Science degree or pursue tiers of coursework and earn certificates of completion:
Tier 1 – Patient Service Representative
Tier 2 – Billing/Financial Service Representative
As you earn certifications, you will be qualified to welcome patients and verify information, develop competencies in computer operations, and learn about health care policy and trends.
