Automotive Service II Proficiency Certificate

Our Automotive Service Proficiency Certificate is designed for individuals who are interested in entering the field of automotive technology with a basic set of core skills. You will learn how to diagnose and repair an automotive braking system, including anti-lock braking concerns; repair and align automotive steering and suspension systems using Hunter alignment equipment; and analyze an electrical fault using a wiring schematic and repair the electrical system.

Additionally, the Automotive Technology programs have manufacturer partnerships with Nissan of North America and Ford Motor Company through the Nissan Technician Training Academy and Ford Technical Career Entry Program - Maintenance & Light Repair (MLR). Students enrolled in the Automotive Technology AAS program, or the Automotive Service Proficiency Certificate I or Proficiency Certificate II programs are able to participate in these manufacturer programs. These programs can lead to Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification and other specialty training certifications to further prepare students for the workforce.

This program is open to all students currently enrolled or planning to enroll in relevant automotive technology programs and will be located in our state-of-the-art facilities at the Career and Advanced Technology Center (CATC).
