The ceremony will celebrate the 34 graduates who have completed the accelerated degree program
PHILADELPHIA – Community College of Philadelphia announced that it will host an in-person pinning ceremony to celebrate the 34 students who have successfully completed the College’s Post-Baccalaureate Accelerated Associate Degree in Nursing Program. These students represent the third cohort of the program.
The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Great Hall in the Winnet Student Life Building, room S2-19, 502 N. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130.
Graduates will hear from College President Dr. Donald “Guy” Generals; Dr. Alycia Marshall, vice president for Academic and Student Success; Dr. Vishal Shah, dean of the Division of Math, Science and Health Careers; Dr. Barbara McLaughlin, Department of Nursing head; Dr. Lisa Johnson, Department of Nursing faculty member; Patrick Collins, class of 2022 student speaker; and other student speakers.
In addition to welcoming graduating students into the nursing profession, the Department of Nursing will be presenting awards during the pinning ceremony.
