Students in grades six to eight will receive hands-on experience on how to provide emergency care for patients as an Allied Health professional
PHILADELPHIA – Community College of Philadelphia announced that it will host its Team Healthcare event to introduce students in grades six to eight to careers in the Allied Health field. The event will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25 at the College’s West Building, Room W2-47, Philadelphia, PA 19130. The main entrance to the West Building is on the corner of 17th and Spring Garden Streets.
Students from Spring Garden and Penrose Elementary Schools will receive hands-on experience, with guidance from College faculty and staff, on how to provide care for patients experiencing a medical emergency in the following fields: Cardiorespiratory, Diagnostic Medical Imaging, Medical Lab Technician, Dental Hygiene and Nursing.
This free, career awareness event is an extension of the College’s Jr. STEM Academy.
