Community College of Philadelphia Foundation Announces 2023 Black & Gold Gala Honorees

The Black & Gold Gala will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Vie by Cescaphe

 
PHILADELPHIA – Community College of Philadelphia Foundation has announced that it will host its annual Black & Gold Gala in person on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Vie by Cescaphe, 600 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130. The gala is the College Foundation’s signature fundraising event. Since 2018, the event has raised $2 million to support student scholarships. 
 
Each year, the Black & Gold Gala recognizes the outstanding service of individuals and organizations in the City of Philadelphia that demonstrate involvement in community growth in the areas of education, business, social services, and health. This year’s honorees include:  

  • Community Hero Award: Ryan Boyer, business manager, Laborer’s District Council of Metropolitan Philadelphia & Vicinity and Philadelphia Building & Construction Trades Council
  • Corporate Leadership Award: Jasmine Sessoms, senior vice president of Corporate Affairs, Hilco Redevelopment Partners
  • Alumni Achievement Award: Gunter Pfau, founder and CEO, Stuzo 
    ·         Lifetime Service Award: Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church
     
    “After the record-breaking success of last year’s Black & Gold Gala, we are especially excited to come together for this year’s event,” said Community College of Philadelphia President, Donald Guy Generals, Ed.D. “We know it will be an inspirational and memorable evening celebrating our exceptional honorees. More importantly, we know that the funds raised for scholarships will transform student lives as well as strengthen our community and city.”
