CCP'S Dr. David E. Thomas will be a Panelist at Episcopal Community Services' Economic Independence Day Event
Dr. David E. Thomas, Community College of Philadelphia associate vice president of Strategic Initiatives and Dean, Access and Community Engagement, will be a panelist at Episcopal Community Services' (ECS) celebratory event of Economic Independence Day on May 16. Taking place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at ECS, located at 225 S. 3rd Street, the panel discussion at the inaugural event will include local experts and service providers who are committed to holistically helping individuals and families escape poverty and advance their financial and social goals. The panel will delve into the fundamental pillars of life that promote prosperity, such as family stability, wellbeing, education and training, financial management, and employment. Other panelists include Erin Ellis, Philadelphia Federal Credit Union; Liz Hersh, Office of Homeless Services; Meg Shope Koppel, PhD, Philadelphia Works; Shirley Moy, North Philadelphia Workforce Initiative; and Orfelina Feliz Payne, Community Behavioral Health.
