We the People
of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish
Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense,
promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to
ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution
for the United States of America.
On
May 24, 2005, the U.S. Department of Education released a Notice of
Implementation, announcing that all educational institutions receiving
federal funding must provide an educational program pertaining to the United
States Constitution on September 17th of every year.
So, now we the
people of Community College of Philadelphia will celebrate the first
Constitution Day ever this year.
