Central Montgomery Mental Health Mental Retardation Center
Central Montgomery Mental Health/Mental Retardation Center, or Central, is the oldest private, not-for-profit, multi-service community mental health center in Montgomery County, PA. EducationWorks

NORTH, Inc.
The acronym NORTH, which stands for NORTH CENTRAL ORGANIZED REGIONALLY FOR TOTAL HEALTH is today a distant relic of the beginning of NORTH, INC. NORTH is a nonprofit health promotion organization founded in 1974 to draw attention to and facilitate the direction of health care resources into North Central Philadelphia, one of the areas with the worst mortality and morbidity statistics in the city. NORTH, INC. operates 20 full-time WIC offices, and a Mobile Unit. The offices are located throughout Philadelphia County, with the majority of them being located within or in close proximity to health care facilities. The mission of NORTH, INC. is to initiate and sponsor programs designed to improve the health and welfare of all low-income families in Philadelphia. Emphasis is placed on families with young children. The programs sponsored by this Agency are designed to provide direct health and nutrition education, access to health care and referrals to health and human service programs for pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and pre-school children.

Philadelphia Police Department
The mission of the Philadelphia Police Department is to work in a true partnership with our fellow citizens of Philadelphia to enhance the quality of life in ourcity. And, by raising the level of public safety through law enforcement, to reduce the fear and incidence of crime. In accomplishing these goals: service will be our commitment, honor and integrity our mandate. Today, the department has over 6,600 officers, approximately 405 patrol cars, 116 emergency wagons and numerous auxiliary vehicles for police use. Resources like the facilities of the crime laboratory, an automated fingerprint identification system, computerized suspect library with digitized suspect images, a computerized Philadelphia Crime Information Center (P.C.I.C.), a helicopter unit, a digitized reporting system that enables all branches of the criminal justice system access to documents without delay (P.A.R.S.), a CCTV arraignment and training system, LoJack tracking equipment and other innovations continue to place the Philadelphia Police Department at the forefront of hi-tech crime fighting. Overall, each member of the department is proud of the continuing respect given to the ideals of Honor-Integrity-Service that are the hallmarks of the Philadelphia Police Department.

Philadelphia Prisons System
The Mission of the Philadelphia Prison System (PPS) is to provide a secure correctional environment that adequately detains persons accused or convicted of illegal acts; to provide programs, services, and supervision in a safe, lawful, clean, humane environment; and to prepare incarcerated persons for reentry into society in a frame of mind that will facilitate their becoming law-abiding citizens. PPS operates six major correctional facilities--the Alternative and Special Detention, the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, the Detention Center, the House of Correction, Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center and the Riverside Correctional Facility--on State Road in Northeast Philadelphia as well as several smaller satellite facilities in various locations of the City.

Philadelphia Zoo
The Philadelphia Zoo’s 42-acre Victorian garden is home to more than 1,300 animals, many of them rare and endangered. The Zoo, fulfilling its mission of conservation, science, education and recreation, supports and engages in conservation efforts to protect endangered species around the world. Cheetahs, hippos, giraffes and much more make the Zoo Philadelphia's leading family attraction with over 1.2 million visitors last year. Like many other Philadelphia landmarks and institutions, the Philadelphia Zoo is an American first. The charter establishing the Zoological Society of Philadelphia was approved and signed on March 21, 1859. In its first year of operation, the Philadelphia Zoo had 813 animals and received well over 228,000 visitors. Today, the Zoo has more than 1,300 rare and endangered animals, and its attendance is approximately 1.1 million visitors a year.

Robert Wayne is independently owned and operated, and many of its employees have been with the company for many, many years.
