http://tilt.lib.utsystem.edu
Before using the Library's resources, the library faculty suggest that you complete this
award-winning online interactive web tutorial. It will introduce you to important concepts
about library and Internet research and provide you an opportunity to test your
understanding of the material.
- There are two versions of the tutorial:
Full TILT (which requires a fast Internet connection)
TILT Lite (no plug-ins required).
- You may want to go to a local public library if you are unable to connect
from home.
- Log in as a Guest.
There are 3 modules. Each takes about 30-40 minutes to complete.
- Selecting: Learn to select sources appropriate for academic research
- Searching: Learn to effectively search library databases and the Web
- Evaluating: Learn how to locate and evaluate print and online sources
At the end of each module there is a short quiz.
