The diagram on the left shows the chart that will appear on the
side of your screen throughout the tutorial. This will give you some idea
how much material you have covered as you read through the lessons.
At various points in the tutorial you will encounter words in unusual
fonts. Text like this
represents a word for which a definition is available. Simply click on
the word and a popup box with the definition inside will appear.
Text LIKE THIS indicates the name of a publication. Click on
the text and you will see a photograph of that publication in
your browser.
Many of the the tutorial pages end with a brief bibliography of
additional print and electronic sources relevant to the subject of the
page. The blue links in the bibliographies
will open a second browser window to display the cited material.
To move between the pages, use the
buttons at the bottom of each page. The
button will take you back one page, and the
button will move you forward.
