To the College Community,

Welcome to Fall 2007 Professional Development Day! This day will provide everyone the opportunity to participate in fruitful discussions about priority teaching, learning, and student support issues and to be involved with positive systemic change here at the college.

Because we have only a day for the entire college community to gather and partake of these heady discussions, we are changing the format for your comfort and for the most effective use of time. We will begin the day’s events promptly at 8:45 a.m. in the Great Hall, S2-19, with an unveiling of our Promising Practices e-journal and the film Discounted Dreams. Please arrive early enough to serve yourself coffee, tea, or juice before we begin the day’s events. After the film, a short break will be provided so that you may help yourself to a continental breakfast which you can enjoy as we move into proactive roundtable discussions.  Our discussions will be based on our priority issues for Achieving the Dream with the film as context.

Please check the agenda for the complete list of events.  We look forward to a productive day with all of you!

Cordially,
