A Statewide Transfer System exists which is dedicated to the seamless transfer of courses within a 30-credit framework. In addition, the Statewide Transfer System has been expanded to require participating institutions to accept the transfer of Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees into parallel baccalaureate programs with full junior standing, recognizing all the competencies attained within the associate degree programs. CCP associate degree programs currently part of the Statewide Transfer System are:
AA in Business Administration to BSBA in Accounting, BSBA in Business Administration/Finance, BSBA in Business Administration/Management, BSBA in Business Administration/Marketing
AS in Computer Science to BS in Computer Science/Software Development
AS in Mathematics to BA or BS in Mathematics
AA in Psychology to BS in Psychology
Students are encouraged to visit www.pacollegetransfer.net to explore transfer opportunities with institutions that participate in the Statewide Transfer System and to view CCP courses that are part of the 30 credit framework mentioned above. Courses from the 30 credit framework are recommended to be integrated into a student's degree program at CCP.
The Academic Passport, a policy of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) guarantees admission to any of the 14 PASSHE universities (e.g. KU) to a student with an earned AA or AS degree from a Pennsylvania public community college (e.g. CCP). A university can stipulate that the associate degree contain at least 30 credits of liberal arts courses. The Academic Passport does not guarantee admission to specific majors.
