Placement Testing Information

Before registering for classes, all students entering the Community College of Philadelphia will need to take a placement test. The test measures skills in writing, reading, and mathematics. The purpose of the placement test is to insure that all students begin their academic career at a course level appropriate to their skill.

The placement test consists of three sections: writing, reading and math. Review the test descriptions so you will be prepared for what to expect on the actual test.
