COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF PHILADELPHIA TO UNVEIL $31 MILLION ‘GREEN’ EXPANSION OF NORTHEAST REGIONAL CENTER
WHAT:
Community College of Philadelphia will break ground on a $31 million expansion and redesign of its Northeast Regional Center, creating what it expects will be the first higher education facility in Philadelphia to meet the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards of the U.S. Green Building Council.
SPEAKERS:
U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz, U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, State Senator Michael Stack, State Rep. George Kenney Jr., City Councilman Brian O’Neill and Philadelphia’s Deputy Mayor for Planning & Economic Development Andrew Altman will join Community College of Philadelphia President Stephen M. Curtis and other dignitaries for the groundbreaking.
