PHILADELPHIA MAYORAL CANDIDATES TO DEBATE AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF PHILADELPHIA
PHILADELPHIA, February 27, 2007 – Community College of Philadelphia will host a Mayoral Candidate Forum with the candidates for mayor of the city of Philadelphia on Friday, March 2, as part of the College’s Law and Society Week observances. The event is free and open to the public.The forum will be held from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the Large Auditorium in the College’s Bonnell Building on 17th Street, between Spring Garden and Callowhill streets. The forum will be moderated by Zachary Stalberg, president and CEO of the Committee of Seventy, and Nia Ngina Meeks, a freelance writer and political analyst. The forum is co-sponsored by the College’s Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, Rho Upsilon Chapter.
All the candidates for mayor of Philadelphia have been invited to participate in the forum. Questions for the candidates will be welcomed from the audience.
