LAW AND SOCIETY WEEK
Police Commissioner Sylvester Johnson and
Philanthropist Kal Rudman to Receive Award
Police Commissioner Sylvester Johnson and Philanthropist Kal Rudman will receive an award from Community College of Philadelphia at their Law and Society Week opening reception. Awards will be given to the Commissioner for his support in educating police men and women, Kal Rudman will receive an award for his funding of a program which helps alleviate the cost of education to police officers.
Law and Society Week is an annual event at Community College of Philadelphia, sponsored by the College's Paralegal and Justice Curriculums. The week-long lecture series features experts on a variety of diverse topics pertinent to the legal and law enforcement professions. This year's sessions include Organized Crime: A Conversation with George Anastasia, Profiling Murderers and Serial Killers, Jury Selection: Psychological and Legal perspectives and a panel on International Law. A community legal forum will also take place during the week.
