Community College of Philadelphia Names McElhatton to Board of Trustees

PHILADELPHIA, February 4, 2003 – Daniel P. McElhatton, Esquire, president of the law firm McElhatton and Associates, has been named a trustee of Community College of Philadelphia. McElhatton was appointed by Mayor John F. Street to a six-year term, expiring in 2008.

He is also a former member of City Council of Philadelphia, and is involved in an array of civic and professional activities, including treasurer to the board for Goodwill Industries, board member of Ventures, Inc. and vice president of the Philadelphia Committee on City Policy.

His professional activity illustrates his strong interest in education. He is a former adjunct professor of real estate law at the Community College of Philadelphia, and during his tenure on City Council, he was a member of the Education Committee.

McElhatton earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University and a juris doctor degree from Temple University School of Law. He resides in Logan Square, Philadelphia.
