Community College of Philadelphia Names Crofton to Board of Trustees

PHILADELPHIA, February 4, 2003 – Michael G. Crofton, president and CEO of The Philadelphia Trust Company, has been named a trustee of Community College of Philadelphia. Crofton was appointed by Mayor John F. Street to a term expiring in 2008.

His professional activity illustrates a lifelong interest in education, public-private partnerships, and academic and professional achievement. He is chairman of the Finance Committee for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, a board member at the Faith and Reason Institute and The James Madison Institute at Princeton University, and a trustee of Rosemont College.

He is a member of the Order of Malta, based in Washington, D.C., and the Order of the Holy Sepulchre with the Archdiocese of New York.

Crofton earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University, and resides in Laverock, Pennsylvania.
