Getting Started at the Northeast Regional Center
Enrolling at Community College of Philadelphia is easy. Just follow these simple guidelines and you will be on your way to becoming a student at the College.
Step One: Complete an Admission Application
Apply online or complete an application in person at the Northeast Regional Center. If you have questions while completing the application online, email us at admissions@ccp.edu or call 215-751-8010. Transfer students must request a copy of their transcripts to be sent to the following address for evaluation:

Once you have confirmation that your application has been received, file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The College’s Federal school Code is 003249. For assistance, please review the Financial Aid section of the College website, call 215-751-8271 or visit the Enrollment Services Center at the Northeast Regional Center.
Step Three: Activate your MyCCP student account
Once your application is accepted, you will receive a letter with instructions to activate your MyCCP account. This account will allow you to communicate with the College about your next steps regarding Admissions, Financial Aid, Testing, and Registration.
Step Four: Take the Placement Test
Most applicants then take a placement test in reading, math, and English in order to determine which classes they need to take. (Transfer students may receive a waiver for the placement test based on their transcript evaluation.)
Schedule your placement test date using your MyCCP account. Placement tests can be completed on at the Main Campus or at the NERC.
Step Five: Register and Pay for Classes
Once you’ve taken a placement test, you may schedule a registration appointment through your MyCCP account. During this appointment, you will meet with a counselor or advisor to talk about your test scores. Your course of study and create a class schedule that works for you. Once registered, you will pay your tuition and fees before the semester deadline
Once you have done that, all that is left to do is buy your textbooks, which you can do at the NERC Bookstore and head to class.
Student Life Center
College is more than classroom learning. At the Student Life Center, students have the opportunity to join, lead, participate and engage in cultural, social and recreational activities, all aimed at enhancing the college experience.
