See what alumni have to say about their experiences at Community
College of Philadelphia.
"My many experiences at Community College of Philadelphia were life
changing. Community College of Philadelphia was a notable place to
start my academic career and a great place to meet interesting people.
I learned numerous lessons here, and they were not all academic. The
most important thing I learned was perseverance and just how far that
will to succeed can take me. My academic experiences were all fulfilling
in the sense that I am smarter than I was before. I learned things that
I did not know, and the things I learned have already started to benefit
me and will continue into the future. Being on the College's Main Campus
has changed me a lot. For instance, I have become more diverse and open
to new things. The best part of Main Campus for me was working in the
Student Life Center, where I met many different people and was able to
get involved in fun and educational activities. The time I spent at Community
College of Philadelphia was well spent, and I enjoyed every minute
of it."

"I had a great experience at Community College of Philadelphia.
I was able to develop and fulfill all the academic goals that I set for
myself. I owe this to the great faculty who always had me working
hard to achieve success, and the incredible support system set
up by the College. The College, although small in size, provided me with
a full college experience. I was able to interact and make friends
with people from all over the world while learning new things about
all of their different cultures. Although there were times when I thought
I would not be able to finish, I could always depend on the faculty to
give me that helping hand to keep me focused on the target goal. My advice
to anyone that has doubts about their ability to achieve is to believe
in yourself. You are your only weakness, and with a little elbow grease,
nothing is out of your reach."
- Andrew Blosvern, '05, Business major
"When I first began here at Community College of Philadelphia, I entered
the English as a Second Language program. This proved to be the start
that I needed to implement a successful start at the College. I was a
little reluctant at first, but Community College of Philadelphia showed
me that I can be a success. During my two-year tenure here at the
College, I learned a lot of things. With my major of Business, I was a
mathematics and business tutor at the South and Central Learning Labs.
I was a member of the Korean Association for Language and Culture and
a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Community
College of Philadelphia proved to be a great stepping stone for me
as I go on to Temple University, and I'm sure it will be one for you
too. Just aspire and persevere, and you can achieve the very
best that Community College has to offer."
