Student Organizations
Attending college is more than just going to class.
Students are strongly encouraged to become actively involved in the extracurricular
life of the College. Involvement could be playing in our Jazz Band; lending
the Student Government Association your vote of confidence; earning a
spot in Phi Theta Kappa, the prestigious international honor society for
two-year colleges; helping out with any of the student clubs; writing
for our student newspaper, the Vanguard; or it could be just about anything
you want to do.
Keep in mind, getting involved in extracurricular activities is encouraged;
however, academic coursework should always be the main focus of a student's
experience at Community College of Philadelphia. For this reason, students
involved in extracurricular activities are expected to maintain at least
a 2.0 grade point average (C average).
