Important Information for Applicants

The information on this Web page pertains to scholarships and awards for which currently enrolled or newly entering Community College of Philadelphia students can submit applications, or where recipients are selected by department faculty and staff. Where available, the established application procedure, eligibility criteria, deadlines and contact information have been included. Unless otherwise noted, these scholarships and awards are for use at Community College of Philadelphia.

The listings are organized by the central criteria of each scholarship or award - they are often listed by the field of study/curriculum they support. Scholarships and awards are alphabetically listed by last name, where applicable.

Helpful Hints
When completing a scholarship or award application, follow these helpful hints:

• Begin preparing the application as early as possible. Time is needed to collect the necessary information, i.e., letters of recommendation, transcript, etc.
• Follow the directions.
• Submit a complete application with all requested information.
• Take care drafting the essay - use correct grammar and punctuation, answer questions and address topics concisely, follow directions regarding essay length, spacing, margins, font, etc.
• Provide academic transcripts (if requested). Be sure to request transcripts as early as possible from Enrollment Services.
• Prior to beginning the process, thoroughly review the applicable criteria to ensure eligibility. In all instances, only participants who meet the eligibility
• criteria will be considered for the scholarship or award.
• Request assistance to have the best chance of winning an award or scholarship. It's often helpful to ask a trusted faculty member, counselor, advisor, family member or friend to review an application prior to submission.
• Submit the completed application by the deadline. Applications submitted after the stated deadline will not be considered - no exceptions.
