Community College of Philadelphia

Veterans Resource Center

A college degree or certificate can increase your earning power, lead to better job opportunities and help you change careers. Veterans, their spouses and their dependent children may qualify for a monthly allowance toward tuition with the many education benefits offered through the G.I. Bill and other programs. Community College of Philadelphia and its Veterans Resource Center will help you understand and access all of the options available to you. The College has been recognized as a Military-Friendly College by Military Advanced Education, and offers a variety of programs to support veterans as well as their spouses and dependents.

The Veterans Resource Center is dedicated to serving students who are veterans, spouses of veterans or dependent children of veterans. A veterans resource coordinator is available to help answer questions about programs and services offered to veterans, including the education benefits programs offered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Veterans Resource Center also provides information and services to help you achieve your goals at the College, including:

  • Access to resources, periodicals and other academic material for veterans
  • Information regarding Veterans Affairs laws, regulations and College policy
  • Vet Connect, an online community for student veterans at the College
  • Peer group discussions
  • Guest speakers on topics relevant to veterans
  • Transition workshops during New Student Orientation

The College recognizes that our returning veterans have a desire to enroll in college at the completion of their military service, and we have been assisting students since the Vietnam era and the first Gulf War through to today. The Veterans Resource Center was established to provide support services to our growing veteran student population, as well as offer information on VA benefits, scholarships and College enrollment.

For more information, visit the Veterans Resource Center, located on the ground floor of the Bonnell Building, Room BG-43, or email vets@ccp.edu.
