
Apply for Graduation
Commencement and the official awarding of degrees take place once a year at the conclusion of the Spring semester. However, a student may fulfill graduation requirements at the conclusion of any semester or summer session. Students who intend to meet the requirements for graduation at the end of any term should submit an application to the graduation evaluators in Student Records and Registration. To complete the Graduation Application online, please login in to MyCCP. Others may download a PDF copy of the application by clicking Graduation Application or apply in person at the Enrollment Services counters at the main campus or at any of the three Regional Centers.
Students who intend to meet the requirements for graduation at the end of any term should submit an application to the graduation evaluators in Student Records and Registration. This may be done in- person at the Enrollment Services counter by completing the Graduation Application form or students may use the STARR System. The STARR System can be accessed on the College's web site or on the STARR System terminals located at the main campus and the three regional centers. Application should be made no later than three weeks after the start of the student's last semester or summer session.
Students who do not complete graduation requirements must submit a new Graduation Application for the next term in which they anticipate graduation.
Community College of Philadelphia will grant degrees only to students who have earned at least 30 of the credit hours they need for graduation at the College itself, exclusive of credit by examination or course waivers. Students on active duty with the Armed Forces need to earn only 15 credits at the College. For a certificate, at least one- half of the credits must be taken in regular course work.
