Co-Curricular Activities
Another focus of OSL is working with faculty members from across the College in planning co-curricular activities that enhance the classroom experience for students. Some examples of recent co-curricular events are:
- bus trips for Art Department majors to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City
- Chemistry students visiting the New Jersey Museum of Science
- Art History and English students visiting the Van Gogh exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
- tickets to theatre events throughout Philadelphia
- touring the Italian Market in South Philadelphia
These faculty-sponsored events are a vital element of bringing the learning experience out of the classroom and into the community. To ensure affordability of these events, Student Activities is able to provide student discounts and subsidies to students.
