The Minority Fellowship Program
New Professors
For Fellows who are new to teaching and the Professoriate at the College, some of the benefits are:
- Opportunities to obtain experience specific to community colleges.
- Opportunities to earn money to help offset educational expenses.
- Opportunities to establish relationships with professionals in their chosen fields of interest.
- Opportunities to demonstrate qualification and capabilities to prospective colleagues.
To date, there have been 23 Minority Fellows, seven of whom have been hired as full-time faculty members. (An eighth Fellow was offered a full-time teaching position but declined the offer.)
