The Kurzweil 1000/3000 is an advanced PC-based reading system. Kurzweil 1000 is a reading tool that scans and converts the printed word into speech for people who are visually impaired. The Kurzweil 3000 provides both an auditory and visual presentation of scanned text and images. This system allows students with learning disabilities to read along, take notes and highlight. The Kurzweil also provides a word processing function with text-to-voice capability.
