Achieving the Dream
Achieving the Dream will help more community college students succeed. Achieving the Dream is a long-term national initiative to help more community college students earn degrees and certificates, as well as transfer to four-year institutions to continue their studies. This initiative focuses on student groups that have faced the most significant barriers to success, including low-income students and students of color.
In the Achieving the Dream model, every decision made at a college—from setting educational strategies and allocating resources to scheduling classes and organizing student services—is grounded in data about student outcomes. Setting measurable goals and making lasting institutional change to achieve them is central to this work.
