Visit the Welcome Center

Welcome Center, Pavilion Building, Room P1-05

Can’t wait for an open house? Please visit the Main Campus Welcome Center in the Pavilion Building, located on 17th Street between Spring Garden and Callowhill streets:

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday (late August through early May): 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Summer hours (early May through late August): 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Closed Fridays.

Weekly Information Tours

Campus information tours are available on a walk-in basis at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Main Campus Welcome Center and on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. at the Northeast and Northwest Regional Centers. Tours at the West Regional Center/Automotive Services Building are available on request and on Ask Admission Days at the West Regional Center (see below). While walk-ins are welcome, a reservation is appreciated, so we can better prepare for your visit. Reserve your space on a tour.

Your visit will include an information session with an admission representative and a general campus tour. A visit to classes in session is not offered. As a community college with a primary mission of serving the residents of Philadelphia, we are a commuter school and do not have student housing.

If you are bringing a group of six or more, please contact Diane Kae, Manager of Student Outreach and Recruitment by email at: dkae@ccp.edu to arrange a custom tour for your group. Please provide as much information as possible including: name and address of your school or organization, your name and title, your phone number, number of people in the group, a brief description of the group and desired dates and times.  You will be contacted by an admission staff member to confirm your group tour.

Latino College Day

Join us for Latino College Day in our Center for Business and Industry Building on the corner of 18th & Callowhill Sts. Registration, refreshments and resource tables open at noon; the presentation will begin at 1:00 pm sharp followed by an opportunity to speak with students, staff and community organizations at 2:00 pm.

This special event welcomes prospective students, family and friends to meet and talk with college staff, students and representatives from local Latino community organizations. The event will feature: resource tables from groups like Aspira, Congreso, LNESC – LULAC, the School District’s Multilingual Family Support Office,the College’s Latin American Student Organization (LASO) and more

Enjoy refreshments from Sabor Domincano and attend presentations on admissions and financial aid offered in English and Spanish. Hear success stories from students from your community who have attended the college. Bilingual staff will be available to assist you with college and financial aid applications if you apply during your visit.

Spring Open House

Save the date!  Our spring open house will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016; registration for the event will begin in February. At the open house you will learn about the admissions process, financial aid, support services, life outside the classroom, and degree and certificate programs at Community College of Philadelphia, as well as transfer partnerships with four-year colleges and universities. Tours and program and information tables available throughout the event.
