Eduardo C. Corral earned degrees from Arizona State University and the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. His debut collection of poetry, Slow Lightning (2012), won the Yale Younger Poets Prize, making him the first Latino recipient of the award. The Art and Design department is proud to invite you to April is Art, our annual student art exhibition.
Please join us in the Mint Building Rotunda on Thursday, April 2, for the opening reception, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.  Come mingle with students, faculty and staff over refreshments.
The April is Art exhibition will run from April 2 - April 21.

Inclusion, Leadership and Pride

Encouraging diversity throughout the Community College of Philadelphia community is more than a goal. It’s a shared mindset and commitment.  This is especially evident during one special week each year—April 6-10 in 2015—which is dedicated to placing diversity front of mind.

Participate in any of 16 informative, provocative and mind-expanding events, spread over 5 full days, with two objectives in mind—broadly advancing diversity at the College and specifically playing a role in that process.

Join us for the mayoral forum that asks: How do the working class fit into the city's future? Tickets are needed for entry into the Bonnell Auditorium. The Counseling Department and Nursing Departments of the College are sponsoring a Nursing Transfer Fair on Monday, April 13, in the West Building, 2nd Floor Hallway. Representatives from area colleges and nursing programs will be there to discuss transfer opportunities with students.

 The Student Affairs division will be hosting its annual Student Leadership Awards Ceremony on April 16. There will be a reception with a delightful menu and music at 4:30 p.m., and the formal program begins at 5 p.m. in the Winnet Building, Great Hall, Room S2-19.

The annual awards ceremony gives the College the opportunity to honor students by recognizing their outstanding leadership outside of the classroom.
