Rape culture is a setting in which people are surrounded with images, language, laws and other everyday phenomena that perpetuate and validate rape. Rape culture encompasses how we talk, think, and react to sexual harassment, assault, and rape. Our society promotes the message that sexual abuse, assault, and rape is normal.
