Get Going With QuickBooks – Introductory Level

QuickBooks is a tool you can use to automate the tasks that you already perform as a business owner or bookkeeper. This workshop is an introduction on how to use QuickBooks to best meet your business needs. The main objective is to introduce you to QuickBooks’ basic features and give you an opportunity for hands on practice. Prerequisites: A basic understanding of accounting and the computer operating system you are using are recommended.
Keep Going With QuickBooks – Intermediate Level

In this workshop, we’ll go beyond the basic concepts to discover QuickBooks useful features and applications. You'll learn how to enter new memorized transactions, customize forms, track sales tax, share files with an accountant, and estimate job costing. You will complete practical exercises to create reports, graphs, and prepare payroll with QuickBooks. Whether you're a small business owner or bookkeeper you'll find plenty of tips to help you get the most out of QuickBooks. Prerequisites: A basic understanding of accounting, QuickBooks, and the computer operating system you are using are recommended.

Introduction to Blue Print Reading

Basic blueprint reading is a necessary skill for many entry-level manufacturing jobs. This workshop prepares you to analyze and interpret manufacturing blueprints. ServSafe Food Protection Manager One Day with Home Study
7 hours; Fee: $185 (Tuition: $117, Text: $68) | Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 | 8 a.m – 4:30 p.m. (½ hour lunch break)
This one-day workshop consists of eight hours of home study, followed by seven hours in the classroom and a one-hour exam. The workshop prepares individuals for successful completion of the ServSafe Certification Exam administered at the end. It teaches you which conditions enhance the growth of bacteria that cause food-borne illnesses, along with the safest way to receive, prepare, store, cook and serve food to your customers. Note: Students must register at least two weeks in advance to provide time for the required eight hours of home study for this workshop. In addition, students are required to pick up their textbook (Room 329) at least two weeks prior to the class.
