Child Development Associate

This workshop is intended for child care workers who are currently employed in a licensed Department of Public Welfare center. Participants pay a registration fee only.

Child Development Associate

A Child Development Associate (CDA) designation from the National Council for Professional Recognition is awarded to a person who demonstrates full understanding of child development and the assessment process.

The Spring CDA course is being offered as a “hybrid course” encompassing twenty online learning modules and twenty face-to-face class meetings. Students registering for this course must be computer savvy and have access to a computer with reliable internet access. Please read the flyer carefully for complete registration information.

Additionally, this workshop is funded through a Scholarship by the Wanamaker Scholars Program. Students must complete the scholarship application as well as the CDA class application. Participants are required to pay only a registration fee of $100.  Scholarship applications will be evaluated based on a demonstrated commitment to the field of early childhood education, a desire for career advancement, and the participant’s perceived ability to successfully complete the 120-hour program.

The Registration Deadline to be considered for a Wanamaker Scholarship is Friday, January 20, 2017. Applications received after that date may not be eligible to attend the class.
