CDCA Patient Treatment Clinical Examinations
The examination in Dental Hygiene consists of two examinations, the Computer Simulated Clinical Examination (CSCE) and the Patient Treatment Clinical Examination (PTCE) which is approximately 4.25 hours in length. The candidate must reach a 75% competency rate for passage. (Pre-Requisite: Participants must have graduated or are graduating within 45 days of examination from an ADA accredited dental hygiene school in the U.S. or Canada to be eligible.)
The Commission on Dental Competency Assessments (CDCA) Patient Treatment Clinical Examination will be given at Community College of Philadelphia on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 and Wednesday, August 2, 2017. There is a fee of $200 to take the exam at CCP, which must be paid at the time of registration. To register with the college and secure your place for the examination, complete the exam registration form and return with payment byJuly 6, 2017. Payment will NOT be accepted the day of the examination.
How to Register
After you have registered through the CDCA website, they will send you information on the time for your assigned session. Use the following information when registering with the paper registration form through Community College of Philadelphia for the Patient Treatment Clinical Exam. These four sections correspond with your assigned clinical session from the CDCA:
August 1, 2017 - 7:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. / Section 300: CRN: 80099 (Closed section for CCP Students)
August 1, 2017 - 12:45 - 5:00 p.m. / Section 301: CRN 80100 (Closed section for CCP Students)
August 2, 2017 - 7:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. / Section 302: CRN 80101 (Open to non-CCP students)
August 2, 2017 - 12:45 - 5:00 p.m. / Section 303: CRN 80102 (Open to non-CCP students)

Please be sure to view the online orientation materials prior to the examination. There will be a short registration immediately before the exam on the exam day (Morning Session: 6:45 - 7:45 a.m, and Afternoon Session: 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.) At this registration IDs will be checked and exam forms will be handed out.
