For the safety of staff and students, the College’s Main Campus and three Regional Centers will close at 2 p.m. on Jan. 26, 2015. The Main Campus parking garage will close at 3:45 p.m. Classes and business operations will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 on a normal schedule. Media announcements will be made on the following television stations and on their websites: ABC (Channel 6), CBS (Channel 3), NBC (Channel 10) and Fox (Channel 29).

Automotive Service Proficiency Certificate

Our Automotive Service Proficiency Certificate is designed for individuals who are interested in entering the field of automotive technology with a basic set of core skills. You will learn how to diagnose and repair an automotive braking system, including anti-lock braking concerns; repair and align automotive steering and suspension systems using Hunter alignment equipment; and analyze an electrical fault using a wiring schematic and repair the electrical system.

Degree Options

Upon receiving your proficiency certificate, you may enter the workforce or your courses may be applied to the Automotive Technology - Automotive Service Technology Option associate's degree program at the College, as well as transfer to a four-year college.
