The Women's Center has
full-time professional staff that is supported by Graduate Assistants,
work-study students, and volunteers. The
staff
attempts to respond to students’
needs through various educational, professional, and social development
opportunities, and supportive services and programs designed to empower
them to
take responsibility and control of their life choices. Some issues
commonly addressed
through our programs include
domestic violence, body image, and self-esteem. We
provide consultation, advocacy, referral, crisis intervention, and a
forum
where students can come and be heard, and become empowered to move
forward. Students
are referred to the Counseling Department upon request for private and
group consultations.
Students, faculty, and staff
are encouraged to take full advantage of the Center's services. |
