Software House International has been on the College's vendor list since September 1996. SHI is a 10 year old company: they have grown from less than $1 million in sales to a projected $1 Billion for 2000. Company management attributes their success to their commitment to customer support, which features a single point of contact for each customer and extensive product knowledge on the part of SHI employees. The partnerships SHI has entered into with manufacturers and distributors enables them to locate most items in stock and allows them to have orders drop shipped directly from the manufacture to the client, thus expedites delivery and minimizes shipping costs. SHI's access to the manufacturers computerized shipment records means that they can track each shipment from the manufacturer's dock to the College's dock.
Their manufacturer partnership network includes 3Com, Acer, Adobe, Apple, Cisco, Claris, Corel, Epson, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Intel, Lexmark, Microsoft, NEC, Novell, Okidata, Seagate, Sharp, Sony, Tektronix, Toshiba, and Xircom.
