- Coordinated educational resources 9-16 to ensure that students reach their full potential in occupational education
- Students are prepared for high-skill careers in technology that allows direct entry after high school graduation into continued study at Community College of Philadelphia. The coordinated course offerings insure that graduates will be better equipped to continue their education and enter the job market.

- Tutoring , dual enrollment, summer courses
- Through a comprehensive career guidance program, planning for Tech Prep begins in at least the 10th grade, based on a student's aptitude and interests, and completion of prerequisite academic courses
- Students complete a prescribed curriculum with mastery of the competencies that will ensure placement and employment in the occupational area completed
- Completing a higher level of academic and technical preparation courses, Tech Prep students graduate better educated and prepared for higher-paying jobs.
Orientation to post secondary education/college
- Students are provided the opportunity to participate on the post secondary level while still matriculating at the secondary level of their education
- Students develop technical competencies at postsecondary level that are more advanced than skills and knowledge required by completers in currently existing programs.

For Teachers:
The benefits of an articulation agreement:
- A commitment to a planned process and program designed to provide students with a non duplicative sequence of progressive achievement leading to competence in a Tech Prep education program. Articulation agreements between secondary and post-secondary institutions facilitate a smooth transition to an associate degree program and beyond with the elimination of duplication.
- Stipends for curriculum and staff development: payment for any hours outside regular school time, substitute pay for regular school hours.
- Professional Development Training compensation
- Participation in joint orientation and training sessions for administrators, teachers, counselors, advisors and faculty of all Partnership members.
- Community College faculty provides technical assistance in curriculum evaluation and revision
